Well thanks for the feed back from the first photo you obviously can't see it but i am blushing!
These photos were taken, as the title suggests at Reedham ferry on the Norfolk broads at sunset. Annoyingly it took ages to wade through the 7 foot reeds in freezing conditions to get to the riverside only for my camera battery to die after only 2 photos - I guess there's a lesson to be learnt there...

Yes indeed. Always have a spare battery.
Scenes usually do look best in low light conditions (dawn/dusk) - except for cricket, of course, which is always played in blazing sunshine.
