I decided last night to have a play with my new pressies and took a photo of the moon - I'm hoping to take some more, when the moon is fuller and from somewhere darker than a city centre! Still it's a start.

happy belated new year

photoshop
I decided to post a pic in sepia (not at all influenced by others you understand!) but as none of my photo's were taken in sepia I've had to resort to playing with photoshop, which I've had for ages but never played with (I much prefer to skill in taking a photo you're happy with than manipulating one later). Having said that I did quite enjoy playing with this one, thus it not only ended in sepia but also deliberately blured. I've put up the original as well for comparison. As with all photo's please click on them to see full size. If you want to :)

Norwich
So today's photo is of Norwich castle (again at sunrise - I do like early starts, far less people around and things just look nicer) and in the foreground Norwich market - scene of the now infamous christmas carol show down of '08.

Christmas Party
It was my works Christmas do last night, which was as eventful as any Christmas works party should, with all the excess drink that you'd expect. Sadly i didn't take any photo's so nothing to post here, but I will put up this picture of the beach at sunrise - my head feels like it needs something peaceful to look at :)

Reedham Ferry
Well thanks for the feed back from the first photo you obviously can't see it but i am blushing!
These photos were taken, as the title suggests at Reedham ferry on the Norfolk broads at sunset. Annoyingly it took ages to wade through the 7 foot reeds in freezing conditions to get to the riverside only for my camera battery to die after only 2 photos - I guess there's a lesson to be learnt there...
Wednesday, 17 December 2008
Right, well as promiced by blog title and first post i suppose i should at least post a photo - this is the first picture someone actually offered me money for and one that i'm probably most proud of so please be kind.
It was taken at sunrise on the beach at Cromer in Oct and was so incredably peacefull and stunning that photo's don't really do it justice... although that's more a reflection of my ability with a camera than anything else.
